afterhoursdoctor.com, gold coast – Chevron After Hours Medical Service ( Established 1981) provides after hours primary medical care for patients in the Gold Coast region, Queensland, Australia.   

We operate three after-hours Surgeries (located at Southport, Palm Beach and at Tweed Heads) for patients who need medical attention after hours and cannot contact their own doctors, or do not have regular local doctors or are visitors to the area. Home visits and nursing home visits can also be arranged when necessary. The medical director of the service established the service in 1981 and ideally we encourage local general practitioners to work in the service. In view of medical manpower shortages over the last ten years, there are also a number of overseas trained doctors who work in the service – nine of these doctors have now obtained their Australian FRACGP qualifications and those who have not done their Australian examinations are supervised by the experienced Australian doctors until they are qualified.
